Overview
Zicer is a digital product serving Bosnian users — an app where the existing interface had grown organically without a coherent UX strategy, resulting in unclear flows, inconsistent patterns, and a visual language that lacked confidence.
Challenge
The core issue wasn't aesthetics — it was that the product had never been designed with the user's mental model in mind. Features existed but were hard to find. Flows started logically and then took unexpected turns. Users were completing tasks by accident rather than by design.
Solution
I started with user research: task-based testing sessions to map where people got stuck and why. From there, I rebuilt the information architecture from first principles — then redesigned the visual system to reflect the new structure. A consistent component library in Figma made the handoff clean and scalable for future features.
Outcome
A significantly clearer product experience with improved task completion across core user journeys and a visual system the development team could extend confidently.
