Overview
Fannizero is a hybrid mobile application that brings together fan community content and branded merchandise in a single, integrated experience. The challenge was building something that fans would use for the content — and spend on for the products.
Challenge
Fan apps and shopping apps serve different emotional modes. A fan browsing content is in an exploratory, identity-driven mindset. A shopper is goal-oriented. Merging the two without making either feel like an afterthought required careful flow design and a clear visual hierarchy that could shift between modes without jarring the user.
Solution
I designed a mobile-first experience with distinct but connected content and commerce sections — linked by shared identity and aesthetic. The content feed keeps fans engaged and browsing; product placement is contextual rather than interruptive. ShopRenter handles the transactional layer, integrated smoothly into the experience. A custom admin panel lets the brand team manage content and products independently, without needing a developer for every update.
Outcome
An integrated fan platform that drives both engagement and revenue within a single interface — giving the brand a direct channel to its most invested audience.
